Song of the Day - Now Kith

Free Throw - Now Kith from Lavender Town (2013)

Not sure why I slept on this band for so long... they have everything I love in a band: samples, references to my childhood (lots of Pokemon and Boy Meets World), and lots of that teen angst twinkly stuff. Hell, they even named a song after me... using an 'E'-less keyboard.

Song of the Day - What Child Is This?

The World is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid to Die - What Child Is This? from Live at the AV Club "Xmas Under Cover" (2013)

The World is... turns the classic Christmas hymn known as "What Child Is This?" into a dark and dreary Christmas Eve nightmare.

Apparently they picked this song because the ICP Christmas song they originally wanted to cover was too hard to learn.

Song of the Day - D4: What the Puck? (Like if They Made Another Mighty Ducks Movie Except This Time They're Pissed)

Two Knights - D4: What the Puck? (Like if They Made Another Mighty Ducks Movie Except This Time They're Pissed) from A lot of Bad Things Have Happened, but We're Still Here (2013)

Probably the coolest song title you will see this year.

Two Knights are just two dudes noodling on instruments that they just got good at using.

Song of the Day - Blurry

Captain Hollow - Blurry from Blurry $iNGLE (2013)

Maine's only emo band has a mega hot new single out and rumors of a new album a hundred years in the works. Supposedly the new album will be called "Greatest Hits" which I think is really dumb. Maybe because that's what I wanted to name my first album when I was kid and had dreams of becoming a big rock star some day...

Song of the Day - At first, I thought it was an ocean but then realized it was only a puddle

Dore Mear Beon - At first, I thought it was an ocean but then realized it was only a puddle from Dore Mear Beon EP (2012)

Dore Mear Beon is a one man math rock band from Ontario, Canada. That one man is named, Andrew Sagriff.

This song closes with a sample from Waking Life, a Richard Linklater film I watched once about lucid dreaming and the meaning of life.
