A.M. Overcast - Easy Green from Extractions (2008)
Solo math rock project from Alexander Litinsky of Winnipeg. He's also in a band called Grand Beach.
Includes a little Battlestar Galactica, the original one with Dirk "Faceman" Benedict, sample to close this opening track.

Song of the Day - Lost in the Hive
Mutoid Man - Lost in the Hive from Helium Head (2013)
Supercharged metal from Ben Koller (drummer of Converge/All Pigs Must Die/United Nations/Acid Tiger) and Stephen Brodsky (Cave In). The project is essentially were the two left of when Koller was in Cave In for a brief time.
Check it out!

Song of the Day - Olee-Wah
Jerkagram - Olee-Wah from Let's Talk About Us (2014)
I'm having a hard time putting my finger on what exactly Jerkagram sound like without making it sound like something else, because, well, it's really not like something else. Very heavy on the groove, almost prog like, but also a bit math-y and psychedelic.

Song of the Day - Camel Clutch
Zletovsko - Camel Clutch from Zletovsko (2013)
I typed in Camel Clutch into Spotify and found this song by the Japanese "zheul" band, Zletovsko!
Very reminiscent of another experimental Japanese band, Sax Ruins; a saxophone side project of Ruins.

Boyfrndz - Not That Sensitive from All Day Pass (2012)
Some nice and noisy math-like rock with vibes reminiscent of Caddywhompus, Pterodactyl, and modern day Tera Melos.

Song of the Day - Aped
Tera Melos - Aped from Patagonian Rats (2010)
After almost two and a half years, I have finally accepted Tera Melo's new sound into my life.
Still, nothing beats the strictly instrumental math rock they were playing on 'Untitled' and 'Drugs To The Dear Youth'.
Oh well. At least I'll be able to enjoy their new album coming sooooooooooon..
