Theme of the Week - .GIF Week!

With the raise of WEBM and new file compressing technology, everyone's favorite moving pictures, .gif may be becoming a thing of the past. To celebrate the mighty legacy of .gif, I have decided this week to "dump" by favorite wrestling .gif's with the corresponding matches that they took place in.

Theme Week - Rasslemania Week 2!

Wrestlemania is a mere 6 days away which can only mean one thing - it's Wrestlemania week! The grandest wrestling event this side of the world is turning 30 next Sunday and with that comes 29 years of great material to watch and honor this week. 

I highly recommend watching these Wrestlemania moments on the WWE Network for best picture quality. If you are not from America or broke like me, the youtube/dailymotion/weird Japanese video players I will be embedding will have to do as usual...

Theme Week - Ring Destruction

This week's theme is all about destruction not so much in the squared circle, but destruction of the squared circle. Whether it be kayfabe, a disaster, or just a shitty ring, every match will include some sort of modification to the wrestling ring. Example:

^This one was the result of WWE's 7 year rule; if something happened 7 years ago, it can just be done again and passed off as new.

Theme Week - Triple Threats

Plain and simple, every match this week will involve three people taking on each other. In honor of Sabu vs. Shane Douglas vs. Terry Funk from ECW's The Night The Line Was Crossed (1994) which took place 20 years ago this week.

Theme Week: Family Feud!

It's a new month and that means a new theme week. I really don't have a reason behind this week's theme other than it was something I wanted to look more into. So, here's a weeks worth of matches featuring someone taking on a family member of theirs. it could be sibling rivalry, cousin confrontation, father versus son, nephew versus uncle, you name it. As long as the competitors are really related (not kayfabe) and it is a match in a real promotion, it's eligible.

Theme Week - Returns!

Yep, it's back to school season once more. Whether you're returning to school or have never been to school, here is a theme just for one: return matches!

Every match this week will feature a wrestle or wrestlers in their first match back to a company they once worked for or returning from an injury.

Theme of the Week - RassleMania!

In honor of WrestleMania week/weekend, this weeks "theme" will be WrestleMania matches. Pretty self explanatory...

This week each year will now be reserved for WrestleMania matches and WrestleMania matches only. No other week will feature WrestleMania matches anymore, I promise.

Theme of the Week - Non-ring matches!

This weeks theme involves matches that are not contested in the confines of the squared-circle known as a wrestling ring.

Matches where the competitors wrestle to get back in the ring or start in the ring and eventually get out of the ring and wrestler elsewhere do not count.

Theme of the Week - Rasslin' in jeans!

Every first week of the month will now be theme week!

This week's theme is rasslin' in jeans. Every match will include a wrestler (or multiple wrestlers) donning some fine trousers into battle.

Also, usually I'll have a pic related to the theme of the week. Finding just the right pic is quite challenging and uncomfortable at times for "rasslin' in jeans" - so here's a bunch of 90's kids wearing their ball-crushing 90's jeans.

Nostalgia For Tomorrow's side project!

This is a little side project that I came up with while watching wrestling videos on Youtube and listening to my favorite tracks at the same time. I've always wanted to start my own column where I just post a song a day as well as one where I post a random wrestling match from the great/not-so-great and misunderstood world of professional wrestling (WWE/WWF/WCW/ECW/TNA/ROH/SMW/AJPW/you name it), but I felt that putting all this stuff on my regular blog, Nostalgia For Tomorrow would take the focus off what that blog is about; discovering new music, finding sweet gems, supporting local acts, and discussing things that are or will be nostalgic to me. So, I've created this off-shot blog to sort of experiment with both interests...

Who knows what'll happen.
